Responsibilities
Procure TL/LTL/Parcel services to offer best in class solutions for prospective and existing customers
Manage, develop, coordinate, and optimize carrier relationships.
Classify carriers by role (strategic, niche, etc.) and invest time as appropriate.
Develop strategic Top to Top relationships with key carriers.
Lead efforts to develop strong relationships at all levels – executive levels at carrier and Crane, execution focused meetings between carrier Sales / Ops and Crane account teams.
Identify new carriers to add to the core carrier base or to migrate from non-strategic to strategic roles.
Monitor the purchased transportation spend of assigned carriers.
