Role Description
Become a Psychological Counsellor with School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky). This part-time role offers broad opportunities to empower elementary students through counselling and support.
The 0.40 F.T.E. term position begins on September 8, 2026, and runs until June 30, 2027. You will work with the Inclusive Education department, delivering both individual and group sessions. Engaging collaboratively with school staff and families is key to ensuring effective support and successful student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychological counselling to students
• Conduct supportive group sessions for emotional growth
• Work closely with educators for resource sharing
• Connect with families to discuss student progress
• Engage with Indigenous communities for cultural relevance
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in psychological counselling
• Successful experience as an elementary school counsellor
• Understanding of BC Student Performance Standards
