Public Safety Sergeant (Sac)

Primary Purpose

The Public Safety Sergeant (Sac) will provide continuity in supervision of the department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director. They will regularly supervise personnel associated with assigned shift, and regularly perform all duties of a working Campus Public Safety Officer.

Essential Functions

Supervise personnel associated with assigned shift and other shifts as assigned. In conjunction with the Director or Assistant Director, inspect officers going on duty for appearance and appropriate equipment, evaluate work performance, review paperwork completed by officers prior to going off‑duty, create work schedules, review and approve timesheets, requests for vacations and other time off.
