Role Description
Plan , direct, and evaluate the operations of wholesale and retail sales establishments or departments within such establishments. Manage personnel and delegate responsibilities. Investigate market research and trends to ascertain consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors operations on sales.
Determine the merchandise and services to be sold, as well as the pricing and credit policies to be followed Find, select, and purchase merchandise for resale. Develop and implement marketing strategies Plan budgets and authorize expenditures Resolve customers issues. Determine staffing needs and hire or supervise the hiring of personnel.
Requirements Secondary school completion is required. A university degree or a college diploma in business administration or a related field to the product or service being sold may be required. Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are required.
