Rheumatologist

Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Rheumatology Department Head and the Medical Director for the area, the rheumatologist will perform specialized clinical work involving the assessment and treatment of patients with rheumatic disorders, autoimmune disorders and other disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The duties may require working closely with various health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with rheumatic diseases including inflammatory arthropathies, connective tissue diseases and vasculitides.
• Provide care for patients with systemic autoinflammatory or autoimmune disease.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health professionals.
• Guide medical learners and teach.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality as required by Vitalité Health Network.
