Role Description
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The School Psychologist position includes opportunities to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment in the context of the Learning Support Services Department and with school personnel. The successful candidate will also:
- Provide ongoing collaborative consultation and planning for students and classrooms through school-based team meetings and care team meetings
- Provide individualized psychoeducational assessments (based on student need) for students referred through the school-based team.
- Provide professional learning opportunities for educators and support staff
- Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
Note: Should no qualified candidates be available, the District will review applications for paid, supervised internships that would meet the 1,800-hour internship requirement.
