Role Description

The Embassy of Japan in Bern is looking for a secretary who works at the Chancellery of the Embassy of Japan. The secretary will be responsible for office work (documentation, translation, official procedures etc.), secretarial work (coordination, scheduling etc.), and research.

Qualifications and competencies required

  • Native level of English, German and French languages (Spoken/Written), Preferably good command of Japanese language
  • Ability to use MS-Office (ex. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) to do the works above
  • Flexible with business trips in Switzerland, overtime and weekends working
  • Permanent Residence Permit (C) or Long Term Residence Permit (B) is needed for non-Swiss nationals

Work Schedule

7 hours and 15 minutes a day from Monday to Friday, except holidays for the Embassy
