Senior Buyer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer to join our team in Port Colborne, Ontario. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Senior Buyer will support the organization by managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost effectiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the local Procurement strategy, including spend analysis, supplier segmentation, and performance targets in accordance with the global category strategy
• Supports identification and prioritization sub-categories suitable for global sourcing based on e.g., spend scale, supplier market, and logistics economics
• Lead sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management for locally managed materials
• Ensure contract compliance and coordination within procurement for implementation
