Senior Commissioning Technologist

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Senior Commissioning Technologist is responsible for commissioning, testing and maintaining primary and secondary power equipment in the field. This includes maintaining medium‑to‑high‑voltage substation power delivery equipment such as breakers, switchgears, circuit breakers, relays and transformers. The role also involves mentoring and educating junior technologists, reading and interpreting prints, implementing risk management strategies and promoting industry best practices. They play a leading role in setting up and operating standard and specialized test equipment to diagnose and analyze the performance of power delivery equipment on‑site.
