About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Approvals, the Senior Lead, Operational Regulatory Approvals is responsible for driving regulatory approvals activities for our Elk Valley mines. This role leads and supervises a dynamic team of coordinators and leads while coordinating with other assets in BC and Alberta. Based in Sparwood, the Senior Lead will spend time at our coal mining operations in the area.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of applications, and regulatory review and engagement processes for 30‑60 non‑major permits each year to support ongoing site operations and permitting compliance items
• Mentor a team of at least four coordinators or leads at site, resolving permitting needs, tracking progress, preparing applications, and acquiring regulatory approvals
