Senior Legal Advisor

Cameco is currently seeking a senior legal advisor to join our team on a permanent basis. As a member of the legal team, you will provide legal support to Cameco’s internal departments, as well as external stakeholders including Cameco’s subsidiaries and joint ventures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regulatory, occupational health and safety, and environmental legal matters, including research, drafting legal memoranda, interpreting legislation and regulations, and preparing other documentation as required.
• Support domestic and international projects and joint ventures.
• Negotiate, draft, review, and approve commercial agreements.
• Provide legal assistance to Cameco’s exploration, marketing, securities and public disclosure, supply chain management, and other departments necessary to the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Law or a Juris Doctor Degree.
