Sessional Instructor, Health Care Assistant (2 Positions)

Position Summary

Applications are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) Certificate program at North Island College (NIC).


The sessional instructional assignment, up to 60%, involves teaching the lab course HCA 120: Personal Care and Assistance to a cohort of international HCA students using a face-to-face delivery method at the Comox Valley NIC at St. Joe’s campus.

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of lab course activities; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and bring facilitation skills to management of conflict.
