Shuttle Driver

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle.
• Load and unload company vehicles and containers.
• Audit the size and weight of packages.
• Separate packages by service type and destination, in accordance with established procedures.
• Scan packages using computerized tracking equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed when handling packages.
• Ensure proper security of Federal Express Canada and customer property such as packages, equipment and vehicles.
• Clean, wash and perform minor maintenance on vehicles as necessary.
• Conform to regulations established by local airport authorities.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, complying with all government regulations and company procedures.
