Position Overview

The Intake Counsellor reports to the Manager, Day Programs and Community Services. Working within an anti‑oppressive, anti‑racist, trauma‑informed, harm reduction, disability justice, and mental health recovery framework, the Intake Counsellor will conduct comprehensive assessments, connect families to services including housing support, parenting education, childcare, and case management, and provide crisis intervention when necessary. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team while managing an independent caseload of intake assessments.

Summary of Duties

• Create welcoming intake experiences that build trust and reduce barriers for families who may have had negative experiences with service systems
• Respond to initial inquiries from young parents via phone, email, walk‑ins, and virtual platforms with warmth and professionalism
