Specialist/Trainee Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Haematology) (LW)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists for this part‑time post. Candidates with an IBMS accredited Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) or similar, with HCPC registration may also be considered. Newly graduated candidates, if successful, will be required to complete their Specialist Portfolio prior to progression to Band 6. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm to train further.

Responsibilities

The post involves rotation through the various sections within the department, and the post holder will be required, following suitable training, to cover the 24/7 laboratory service. Working hours are 28.8 per week on average, including evenings, weekends and overnight work when suitably trained.
