Role Description
Job Summary
Under the reporting of the Food Service Manager, Computer & Production Coordinator, and Food Service Supervisor, the cook prepares meals and snacks for patients at the IWK's Adolescent Intensive Services location. The cook prepares meals and snacks following standardized recipes and appropriate food handling practices; keeps the work area and equipment clean and sanitary; reports problems related to food products, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards to the Food Service Supervisor or Computer & Production Coordinator. The cook may be required to perform cooking and preparation duties and/or coverage at the main IWK site and additional related duties as assigned.
Hours of Work
7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 10:30 am - 5:00 pm; Availability to be flexible. Various mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends as required.
Qualifications
