Library Technician II – Sunday Team Lead

Under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager, the Library Technician II – Sunday Team Lead is responsible for providing support for a portfolio of work that can include overseeing cataloging, programming, community information, volunteer services, technology and makerhub, or circulation services. This position manages a portion of a service in the library, ensuring programming oversight and accountability for one area. The role also includes shared oversight of staff, volunteers, program partners, the makerhub, the head cataloguer, and scheduling.

In addition, the Sunday Team Lead supports the provision of services at the Newmarket Public Library during its open hours on Mondays. Responsibilities include staff coordination, customer relations support, handling security and building demands on Sundays in accordance with established protocols.
