Position Overview
As a member of the Health and Safety Team, the Superintendent will report to the Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities and work a 2X2 schedule at the Ekati Diamond Mine. The role involves leading the safety culture at the mine, interacting frequently in the field and with all departments and levels of the organization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Be a safety leader by promoting and demonstrating safe work practices in all tasks at Ekati.
- Lead programs in occupational health, risk, and safety for surface and underground mining areas and for all levels of the organization to ensure the achievement of the company safety standards and objectives.
