Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Long Term Care
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, or other regulated health care professional, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) performs assigned functions as an unregulated care provider, supporting the health care team in assisting residents in activities of daily living and supporting the effective operations of resident care areas. The PSW provides resident care consistent with unit‑specific duties and the statement of limitations of the PSW classification, in accordance with all SJHCG policies and procedures.
