Role Description
Pursue a rewarding role as an Elementary Counsellor in School District No. 42, providing vital support to young students in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. This 1.0 FTE temporary position begins on September 1, 2026.
As a key member of the Safe and Caring Schools program, you will focus on preventing and addressing students’ social and emotional needs. Your counselling will enable children to build self-awareness, develop emotional regulation, and enhance problem-solving capabilities. Close collaboration with families, educators, and community partners will be essential for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual and community-based counselling sessions
• Collaborate with faculty during planning processes
• Deliver engaging classroom experiences for growth

• Provide support during critical school transitions
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in counselling psychology or equivalent
