Enhance workplace safety for Ontarians as a Temporary Worker Adviser with the Ministry of Labour. Use your legal expertise to provide vital advice and support for non-unionized workers.
Join the Office of the Worker Adviser (OWA) for a temporary position focused on improving health and safety in the workplace. Candidates will engage directly with clients, managing cases, and advising on workplace safety laws. You will support injured workers and families while advocating for fair resolutions in various appeals and hearings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage cases from early resolution to appeals
• Provide education and advice to workers and organizations
• Investigate claims through information gathering
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings
• Advocate at all levels of appeals and tribunals
