Role Description
Step into a full-time role as a Real Time Trader at TransAlta in Calgary. Manage Eastern market assets, working shifts to ensure efficient energy trading and compliance.
TransAlta is hiring a Real Time Trader for the East division, directly reporting to the Manager, East Cash & FTR Trading. In this role, you'll work shifts of 11 and 8 hours while providing 24/7 support. Your responsibilities include managing generation assets, energy management agreements, and customer relationships, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Eastern Asset offers and outages 24/7
• Handle Energy Management Agreements with 24/7 support
• Create financial results per annual trading plan
• Develop growth opportunities with new trading customers
