Role Description
Transportation Load Planner
The Regional Transportation Planning Centre is accountable for the daily planning of all vendor purchase orders and all store delivery orders as efficient and cost‑effective trips. The Load Planner utilizes the Transportation Management System (TMS) to plan trips that meet the needs of the business from a customer perspective while meeting all adherence and cost requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Review all unscheduled orders in the Transportation Management System prior to the automated system routing session.
- Maintain adherence to SOPs.
- Manually adjust the planned load as required and provide feedback for changes to the Regional Planning Center lead.
- Review each load planned by the Transportation Management System to ensure adherence aimed at a cost‑effective load.
