Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Provide professionalism in customer service.
- Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations.
- Load and unload goods.
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Driver logbook documentation knowledge.
