Overview
Ledcor Marine is seeking an experienced Tug Master to join our Marine division. The position involves operating tugboats and barges on the Fraser River, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient vessel operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure vessel crew meets Ledcor Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and follows safe operating procedures.
- Maintain operational control and knowledge of tugboat in all aspects of towing barges and ship assists.
- Interact closely with crew and management, managing the day‑to‑day operation of vessel and crew.
- Communicate with shore‑based team to promote efficiency and safety throughout the operation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local tides and waters on the Fraser River.
- 3 to 5 years’ sea service of combined barge and log towing on the Fraser River and the BC Coast.
