Program Overview

NVA Canada’s Veterinary Technician Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. The practicum lasts between two and eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals.

Program Eligibility

Eligibility requires enrollment in an accredited VT program in Canada and completion of your final practicum in your final year. Eligible students may receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
