Responsibilities

• Performs working level duties in receiving, stores, and/or shipping functions. Stocks material/commodities in a neat, orderly way; receives, inspects, and counts incoming material/commodities; rejects damaged items, records shortages, reviews, and interprets accompanying documentation; maintains records of stock received/shipped; and/or moves materials/commodities between locations. Operates material handling, forklift and packaging equipment.
• 35-60% Performs general material handling/warehousing duties involving receiving, storing, inventory, shipping, and disbursing materials/commodities; pick orders and prepare pallets for shipment; process materials using postal manifest and meter equipment; load and unload trucks; operate various powered material handling equipment i.e., forklift and pallet jack; provide some lead direction to material handlers, warehouse workers and volunteer works as assigned.
