Role Description
Become a vital link in the YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange program. As a Local Coordinator, you'll engage youth, families, and community partners in an enriching summer experience.
This full-time role serves as the bridge for 16- and 17-year-old participants. Responsibilities include promoting the program, selecting youth and host families, and guiding their adaptation during the exchange. Exceptional relationship-building and organizational skills are essential for success in this mentoring position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote the program to local youth and communities
• Interview and select participants and host families
• Plan and manage local activities within budget
• Maintain positive partnerships with participants and stakeholders
• Support participant travel logistics and address emergencies
Requirements:
• Full-time post-secondary enrollment or equivalent experience
• Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
